I Have so many mixed feelings right now. I have been waiting for the dub to reach this episode for 6 years and always wondered how the dub would adopt one of my top 3 favourite moments in One piece. Started and loved the dub since i started in 2014 but the VA kinda declined in quality within the recent arcs.

Now here we are, holy shit i am so confused. WHY IS LUFFYS VOICE LIKE THAT IN GEAR 4 AHHAAHAHAHA. "I needed greater size... greater.... BOUNCINESSS" HAHAHAHAH THEY MADE SOUND LIKE A CAVEMAN. I thought they wouldve just made luffys VA to do his voice and then add reverb ( They have been heavily relying on reverb recently) but they did something i would not expect in a million years. oh man its absolutely ridiculous and i Love it.

Although i said the dub declined in recent arcs i feel like its coming back again with Dressrosa. I also like how theyre deviating themselves from the japanese version as well. With barto's new yorker voice (which also threw me off gaurd btw) and giving the characters in dressrosa a spanish accent, im really enjoying this arc (despite it being one of teh worst in regards to ANIME)

I also have to say that the scripting is also superbly done as it has always been. with Cora calling law a "little shit" and luffys obsession with giving doflamingo an ass kicking. anyway i realised upon reading this comment that i need to touch grass so im gonna go do that now.

Lol this why I watch op dub shits funny as hell and franky and sanji’s voice are so perfect for their character especially franky and them giving the dressrosa citizens Spanish accents were superb

I love this. There have been episodes of One Piece where I'm just all smiles, they're that good and that cathartic. But I've felt it's been an arc or two since I've really just felt that nonstop glee that keeps a smile plastered on my face for 23 minutes straight. BUT THIS. I COULDN'T CONTAIN MYSLEF FROM GRINNING LIKE AN IDOT WATCHING LUFFY KICKING DOFLAMINGO'S ASS!!! 😁 I LOVE IT!!!

Luffy's voice DID change in 4th Gear, the awkward was intentional because the entire point of Bounce-Man was to be funny, he stops it anyways in the next episode

I'm glad I started reading the comments. I was under the impression that everyone who knew about One Piece these days are either caught up with the manga or they're only into the anime subs. But no, a lot of you guys like the dub or only follow the dubs, which from a (potential youtuber/ content creator) certain perspective is a GOOD THING. My idea to cover the anime arcs online can actually work then. Either way, this was a good episode. BUT, let's not forget that Doffy at this point is still nerfed. The bird cage is not a passive ability. No ability of that scale is passive so he is taking a beating while controlling that.

I must admit this new Fourth Gear form looked pretty creative. I think this design also had inspiration from the Japanese mythological Fujin because the smoke around luffy's arms looked like how fujin has cloth above his neck and going under the armpits!! Also very impressed how Doflamingo described it as still being rubber but stronger because of armament hardening giving tensile strength!! That's pretty impressive use of elasticity and matter science!!!
Loved how Doflamingo said balloon boy and "I'm so sick of this" because it was getting ridiculous! XD
